About the Book

In 1948, archaeologist Benjamin Kingman uncovered ancient parchments in a Dead Sea cave. His choice to hide them haunts him for the rest of his life.

Forty years later, as he lies dying, Benjamin leaves his son Paul Kingman a cryptic journal and a key to a safety deposit box. What Paul finds will thrust him into a dangerous world where myth and reality collide—and ancient evil walks among us.

Paul, a skeptical journalist, never believed in his mother’s faith or his father’s guilty conscience. But when the journal is stolen, a ruthless billionaire offers him a fortune for parchments he doesn’t possess. Paul realizes he’s stumbled onto a secret that powerful forces will kill to protect.

The parchments reveal a story rewriting human history: fallen angels, their giant offspring called Nephilim.

Racing against time, Paul joins forces with gifted artist Gabriella McDaniel, whose father—a U.S. senator—may be entangled in a conspiracy reaching the highest levels of power. Guided by a mysterious stranger, Paul must expose an ancient deception before darkness silences him forever.

The enemy he faces is older than civilization itself. The battle for humanity’s future will demand a faith Paul isn’t sure he possesses.

The Nephilim Parchments (Giants in the Earth – Book 2) is a sequel to The Shattered Spear.

A supernatural thriller spanning two millennia—perfect for fans of Frank Peretti, Ted Dekker, Tosca Lee, and Brian Godawa.

I’ve loved reading books ever since I can remember. Now I’m writing them. I have always been and will continue to be an eclectic reader. I enjoy reading about such diverse topics as quantum physics, forbidden history, angels and demons, paleontology and archaeology, science fiction, and fantasy.

One of my passions is history, and I incorporate both ancient and modern history into my thrillers.

Since I was twelve and took my first solo train ride, I’ve also loved to travel. Many of the locations in my novels are places I’ve visited personally. Some of the rest are places I’d love to see. I went to Europe with two buddies right out of high school, then went back as an exchange student in Holland a couple of years later, which fueled my desire for seeing the world. I’ve climbed mountains in the Rockies and the Alps, swam in both the Dead and the Red Seas, scuba-dived in the Florida Keys and the Cayman Islands, snorkeled the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, and hiked extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Israel.

After graduating summa cum laude with a BA in History from the University of Florida, I went to law school and obtained my J.D. at the same university. Then I went into the business world, where I’ve been ever since.

My wife and I live in North Carolina with our parrot, where we are planning our next adventures.
